August 14th, Brussels. Flowertime is a biennial initiative that was launched in 2013 by the City of Brussels and the ASBL (non-profit organization) Tapis de Fleurs de Bruxelles. Under the theme 'A World of Floral Emotions', more than 30 top florists from 13 countries decorated the magnificent rooms of Brussels City Hall, a Unesco masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Brussels’ famous Grand Place hosted for the occasion a stunning flower arch composed of 500 fuchsias. This year, the artistic direction is once again in the hands of the world-famous Floraliën. The famous Manneken-Pis gets dressed up for Flowertime by floral artist Geoffroy Mottart.
