September 4th, The Hague. While in Belarus a wave of strikes and workplace protests are adding pressure on Alexander Lukashenko to step down immediately. The Belarusian Congress of Democratic Trade Union (BKDP) which is one of the representative organizations of the Belarusian free trade unions is calling on the international trade union movement and other sympathizers to peacefully protest at the Belarusian embassies around the world. In The Hague, the FNV, the largest trade union in the Netherlands organized a protest in front of the Belarusian Embassy to deliver a statement to the Belarusian ambassador, H.E. Mr. Andrei A. Yeudachenka to draw special attention to the workers in Belarus and their right to strike.
