March 18th, Amsterdam. Around two thousands of people was gathering this Saturday March 18th in the center of Amsterdam during a demonstration against racism and discrimination. Protests have been organised around the world to mark the International Day against Racism, on March 21. Also on that date are the Dutch municipal elections, with racist and far-right parties being up for election in many municipalities, for that reason dozens of organizations and parties have signed the manifesto of Committee March 21 'No racists in the municipal councils' in the past few weeks. They joined forces in the run-up to the elections. This year their central slogan is "No Racists in the Council".
