July 14th, The Hague. People gathered at the Malieveld, in The Hague to show their solidarity with the Sudanese refugees, and with the people of Nirtity, on the Marah mountain in the west of Sudan. More than 100 Sudanese living in the Netherlands with refugee status, have received a letter from the IND (Immigration and Naturalisation Service) stating that they will go through their cases again. The IND wants to check who could be sent back to Sudan as they consider Sudan a safe place, but according to Sudanese people If these refugees are deported, they most likely face persecution, and they will likely be subjected to torture and other cruel, Inhumane, or degrading treatment.
