October 16th, The Hague. Dutch farmers are protesting against the measures proposed to cut down on nitrogen emissions in The Hague. The farmers were, however, not welcome at the Binnenhof or in the city center and to ensure this, the Ministry of Defence was supporting the police in cordoning off the city center (including the Binnenhof) to large vehicles. The farmers also disrupted traffic in the city by marching over the tram lines. The action group 'Farmers Defense Force' has also called for tents and food, threatened with camp there until their demands to be met.
