September 18th, Groesbeek. In September it's exactly 75 years ago that paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division landed in Groesbeek as part of the Operation Market Garden. On that day, more than 1,000 paratroopers are expected to recreate the landed in Groesbeek. For these jumps, the 'Parachute Group Holland' hired two original C-47 Dakotas from England. One of these Dakotas, called Drag 'em Out, made several flights during the Second World War during the invasion of Europe over France and Operation Market Garden in the Netherlands. In addition to the permanent members from The Netherlands, members from England, Poland, the Czech Republic, Canada, and the United States also participated.
